It's really hard for us to know what our route is exactly going to be. In the map below, the red line represents a guess at our route. The yellow line represents the route that we hope to bike as well, but consider a little less likely. Sudan has a reputation as being a difficult country for getting a tourist visa. We're hopeful we'll be able to go through, but we want to be realistic and know there's a chance the tour will end in Ethiopia.

We're not yet decided on Zimbabwe. We might go through a section of the northwestern part of the country to Victoria Falls. But if conditions don't seem safe, we'll just go directly from Botswana into Zambia.

This route could change drastically depending on weather, bike problems, political situations, health problems, etc. But this is the current approximate guess.
